Terms of use
These terms apply to your use of the PDFtoOne website and web app ("PDFtoOne", "we", "us"). By using PDFtoOne you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. The service
PDFtoOne offers free tools to convert, compress, edit, sign, read (OCR) and prepare PDF files and photos. All tools are free for personal and business use, with no login. The site is supported by advertising. We may add, change or remove tools at any time.
2. Your files stay on your device
Files are processed inside your own browser and are not uploaded to our servers. We therefore do not receive, store or read your files, and we cannot recover them for you. Keep your own copy of every original file.
3. Check every result before you use it
You are responsible for checking every output before you rely on it, submit it, print it or share it. Conversions (such as PDF to Word), text recognition (OCR), background removal, compression and resizing can contain mistakes, lose formatting or change how a file looks. Check names, numbers, dates and the exact size and file size a portal asks for.
4. Not an official service
PDFtoOne is an independent website. It is not run by, linked to or approved by any government, ministry, exam board, recruitment body, passport office, embassy, consulate or Visa centre. Photo and document sizes in our presets are guidance prepared from the official sources we link and dated; rules change, and the official notice always prevails.
5. Your responsibilities
- Only process files you own or have the right to use.
- Do not use PDFtoOne for anything unlawful, including forging documents, removing passwords from files you are not entitled to open, or misusing anyone's personal data.
- Unlock PDF works only when you already know the password.
- Sign PDF creates simple electronic signatures. Where the law requires a certified digital signature (DSC) or Aadhaar eSign, use that instead.
6. No warranty
PDFtoOne is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PDFtoOne is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or its outputs, including a rejected application, a missed deadline, lost data or any indirect or consequential loss. As the tools are free, our total liability for any claim is limited to zero rupees, or the lowest amount the law allows.
8. Advertising and other websites
Ads are provided by third parties such as Google. We are not responsible for the content of ads or of other websites we link to.
9. Our content
The PDFtoOne name, logo, Hummi the hummingbird, the website design, text, presets data and code belong to PDFtoOne and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Do not copy them without written permission. Open-source libraries we use remain under their own licences.
10. Privacy
How we handle data is explained in How we handle your files, which forms part of these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any consumer rights you have where you live.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date below shows the latest version, and continued use means you accept it. Questions or complaints, including grievances under India's Information Technology Act: [email protected] or our contact page. We aim to reply within 2 working days.
Translated summaries may be offered for convenience; if there is any difference, the English version applies.
